Halloween Craft: Spooky Soft Ghosts

Ghost Craft Feature

Halloween is upon us! Now that my child is getting older we are starting to enjoy the love of crafting together. I am in no way a crafty person, I could probably have an entire page dedicated to “Pinterest Fails”, but I try and I am learning that 2 year olds really don’t care how symmetrical or pretty things are. Here are the directions for the Spooky Soft Ghosts that we made last week. Have fun!

Materials:

  • Foam or cardstockGhost Craft 2
  • Cotton balls
  • White glue
  • Hole puncher
  • Paint brush or something else to spread glue with
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Plate or bowl for glue
  • Googly eyes, felt pieces or something else to make a mouth and eyes with

What to do!

  1. Cut the foam or cardstock into a simple ghost shape (I used a pen to make the shape and then cut)
  2. Squeeze some glue onto a disposable plate or containerGhost Craft1
  3. Have your child paint the glue onto one side of the ghost
  4. Give your child some pieces of cotton to stick all over the glue covered ghost (this can get sticky so some wipes or washcloth is a good idea)
  5. Have your child stick eyes and a mouth on the cotton covered ghost
  6. Use a hole puncher to make a hole in the top of the ghost
  7. Use some ribbon to make a handle so that you can hang your ghost up or use it to fly around the house
