Luxury All-Inclusive – Family Travel #BeachesMoms

BeachesTB_beach

Not all ‘All-Inclusive’ resorts are created equal. The added luxury that Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa offers sets it apart from all other all-inclusive hotels.

I recently attended the Social Media On The Sand conference held at this resort, and hosted by the Beaches Resorts team. I, however, paid my own way and wasn’t compensated to write about the resort or island, or even required to, as a part of this event.

But I would like to tell you what sets Beaches apart from all the other ‘all-inclusives’ I’ve visited before. I have stayed at all-inclusive hotels in Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, The Bahamas and Jamaica in the past, both with and without my kids in tow.

So here’s my list:

More Dining Options

At Beaches Turks & Caicos there is simply no shortage of dining options. Whether it’s for lunch, dinner, midnight snacks or breakfast, there are no less than 18 eateries. NONE of which require reservations. One of my biggest pet peeves from previous experiences is to have to line up or call in to make dining reservations at an ‘ala carte restaurant’ at an all-inclusive resort to avoid the buffet. You can get a burger and onion rings plus an ice cream cone any time of night at Bobby Dee’s (open 11am to 6am) and the best jerk chicken you’ve ever tried right on the beach at the Jerk Shack.

Food Quality

If buffet is your thing, the breakfast at Mario’s is on par with a four-star dining experience up here at home. All of the ala carte meals we enjoyed at the restaurants were fantastic as well. I recommend asking if they have some local Red Snapper when ordering your dinner, fresh is amazing.

No Tiny Disposable Cups

You know the itty bitty disposable cups you’ll typically get poolside or on the beach? Not at Beaches. They use large plastic cups which make for a real cocktail.

Better Liquor Brands

No-name brands won’t be found behind the multitude of bars at Beaches. Only premium brands such as Bacardi, Captain Morgans, Appleton, Canadian Club, Absolut and so many more.

Premium (and exclusive to Beaches) Wines

Beaches has partnered with Robert Mondavi wines to offer an exclusive selection of Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon wines. They are high quality and very tasty. If you’re looking for something even more special, you can purchase champagne (even Dom Perignon), ice wine and premium wines.

No Tipping

How many times have you been to a resort only to be carrying a wad of cash around, forever tipping every bartender and drink service. Not at Beaches. Tipping is included in the price of your stay.

WIFI

We all need to unplug when on vacation, but let’s be real, who doesn’t want to post those gorgeous beach shots to Facebook right from the beach? The WIFI is included in your stay and is very readily available all over the property.

Transfers

Transfers to and from the airport can really add up when booking a vacation. At Beaches it is included in the price of your stay. No tour company needed, no cabs.

No Bracelets!

Who hates the plastic bracelet you typically HAVE to wear during an all-inclusive stay? Me! My kids! At Beaches, all you need is your room number and last name for all meal seatings and while walking back on to the property.

Bar Fridge

In every room you have a bar fridge which is restocked with bottled water and soft drinks every day. If you are in a concierge level suite, your liquor will also be replenished daily including wine, beer and hard liquor.

Cabanas are Included

I recently stayed at a five-star property in Hawaii where shade cabanas were going for $60US per day. Not at Beaches! All the cute little shaded loungers are for everyone to use and there are NEVER a shortage of chairs by any of the pools or on the beach. None of this reserving your chairs at 7am business!

Room Types

There are four villages and seaside villas available at Beaches. This means you book the type of room that suits your taste and budget before you even arrive. No worrying or wondering what type of room you may end up with. Plus even for the most basic Caribbean Village rooms, the beds are actually really comfortable, no rock hard mattresses here. The Villas in the Key West Luxury Village are over the top and larger than some homes, Beaches can accommodate all levels of luxury.

“No Problem” and “Welcome Home”

You’ll receive amazing service from all the staff at Beaches. They put a lot of time and effort into training their staff and ensuring service is at the forefront for all interactions. You will likely hear “Welcome Home” and “No Problem” throughout your stay.

Butler Service

Yes, you read that correctly. You can reserve Butler Serviced rooms/villas. These Butlers are formally trained to answer your every need from adding flowers to your dinner table prior to your arrival, to helping your child wash the sand from her feet, to running your bath.

Over The Top Waterpark

This waterpark not only offers waterslides and a lazy river but a surf simulator and a swim-up kids juice bar!

All The Other Stuff

Teen dance club, Scratch DJ Academy, Xbox play lounge, beach parties, all the water sports you can imagine are included. Sesame Street character meals, tennis camp, childcare (with no age restrictions), crafts room, scuba lessons as young as 8 years old. The list is endless here!
