What to do on New Year’s Eve in Edmonton

It is just me or did 2017 whiz by?! Now that 2018 is right around the corner, I bet you are wondering what family friendly activities are happening on New Years Eve in Edmonton & Area. Here you go:

New Year’s Eve Party

Enjoy a New Year’s Eve Party for the whole Family at Gymboree Play & Music. There will be: activities, crafts, snacks and a countdown!! (Note this is for parents and their 0-5 year old children.

When: 10 am to 12 pm
Where: Gymboree Play & Music (356 Bulyea Road, Edmonton)
Cost: $20 per child (adults are free)

Countdown at the Conservatory

The Muttart Conservatory invites you and your little ones to ring in the New Year before dinner time! Enjoy activities, entertainment, treats and hourly countdowns!

When: 10 am to 2 pm
Where: 9626 96A Ave
Cost: Regular Admission Applies

New Year’s Eve Downtown

Ring in the New Year Downtown, with fun for the whole family, there will be activities for the fam-jam followed by fireworks.

When: Family Activities from 6 to 9 pm | Fireworks will be at 9 pm
Where: Federal Building (9820–107 Street), Visitor Centre, and Federal Plaza
Cost: FREE

New Year’s Eve Fireworks

Enjoy Fireworks with the family in St. Albert this year.

When: Display starts at 8:30 pm
Where: Mission Hill, St. Albert
Cost: Free

New Years Festival

Ring in the New Year at this family festival in Strathcona County! There will be family activities happening both indoors and out. Find the schedule of events here; and please note that some outdoor activities have been cancelled due to the extreme cold.

When: Activities from 4 pm to 7:45 pm; fireworks at 8 pm
Where: Broadmoor Lake Park, Arena and Sports Centre (Shell), Community Centre and Festival Place (Sherwood Park)
Cost: FREE

Family Fest

Live entertainment; public skating; crafts & activities; horse drawn wagon rides; hot chocolate, hot dogs & popcorn and more! AND Fireworks!

When: Activities from 6 pm to 8:45 pm; Fireworks at 8:45 pm
Where: Heritage Park (Stony Plain)
Cost: FREE
