Recipe: Gusto Garlic Pesto Cheeseball Pinwheels

If you have been to a Modern Mama St. Albert/North Edmonton event you have probably tried Sunset Gourmet (they are our fabulous snack sponsor for local events)! I love Sunset Gourmet products because they are quick, simple and taste delicious. This week at our positive parenting workshop Trina, our Sunset Gourmet representative and local mama, spoiled us with these amazing pinwheel pastries! I thought I would share the recipe with you here:

Pinwheels

Sunset Gourmet Gusto Garlic Pesto Cheeseball Pinwheels

Ingredients:

1 package (block) softened cream cheese or whipped cream cheese

1 package Sunset Gourmet Gusto Garlic Pesto Cheeseball mix, $7.99 for 2 packets

2 packages of ready made crescent rolls (regular or whole wheat)

Method:

Mix the cream cheese with the Gusto Garlic Pesto Cheeseball mix. Let flavours sit and blend for at least 2 hours in the fridge, overnight is best. Open 2 packages of ready-made crescent rolls and unroll each onto parchment paper or a floured surface. Press all the seams together so that you have 2 full rectangles. Thinly spread half of the cream cheese mixture on to the long side of each rectangle. Leave 1″ at the top with no cheese mixture. Start and the bottom and roll tightly towards the top. Cut each ‘log’ into 12 pieces. Bake as directed on the crescent roll package, usually about 11 minutes. Enjoy!

You can order the Gusto Garlic Pesto Cheeseball, and other yummy items directly from Trina here!
