5 things August 9

august

My five things this week are family-friendly travel sites, and my top picks for booking, researching or simply daydreaming about your next family vacation.

1 | Trip Advisor The very best in travel reviews are found on this site.  I have used this site for as long as I can remember to read up on recent reviews on hotels, primarily.  It’s perfect for deciding, when you’ve narrowed it down to a couple of hotels, and you’re just not sure which one to pick.  The reviews often have traveler’s photos included so you can get a better idea of the property as well.

2 | Hotels.com A great way to search for hotels by price, location and amenities.  Good search options and great prices.

3 | Travel & Leisure Family  From listing the best in family hotels, to must-have travel gear, this site has hundreds of family travel articles, tips and links.

4 | Sell off Vacations This site is perfect for planning an all-inclusive trip from almost anywhere in Canada!  Think Mexico, Caribbean or Las Vegas package deals. It’s so easy to go price out any trip (ideal for daydreaming!).

5 | Family Travel has trip reviews by age (think baby vs. school aged kids) and tons of articles and reviews.  Ever wanted to know the coolest pools around?  You got it.

PS … looking for luxury travel info?  The Four Seasons Family blog is excellent.
