Are you an Urban or Suburban Mama, where do you live?

Definitely an Urban Momma, living in Edmonton

Tell us about your children?

Oh where do I start and how do I not write a novel?! Well I have two children, they’re 5 and 6, and are only 1 year and 3 days apart. Yes, I know, I shake my head as well. As hectic as that sounds, they are the best of friends, and I love being their Mother. They are my greatest teachers and most treasured way to spend my time.

Tell us about your typical weekday?

Right now my typical weekday has been turned a little upside down, but hey, I know it’s not just me. Normally I get my son ready for kindergarten, drive him to school, and then spend the day catching up on keeping our house tidy, running errands, or teaching yoga classes !

Do you have help?

I would consider myself having help, yes! Thankfully my husband has a 7-3 job, so he’s home in the evenings to help out with dinner, and the dreaded bed time.

It hasn’t always been this way though, he used to work shift work and our weeks were spend with mainly just me trying to tackle the evenings. Not fun.

Who cooks dinner?

Mainly me, BUT my husband has a few go-to dishes that he cooks.

How often do you buy something just for you?

Hmmm, I would rate it at a 5 out of 10, and say it’s not an out-of-control thing, but I do like to get myself something every now and again.

Do you exercise regularly and if so, what and how do you fit it in?

My profession is teaching yoga, so each class that I teach I mainly partake in as well, so I’m able to fit movement into my weeks, but outside of teaching yoga I do find very challenging to stick to something. We have a treadmill, and I love walking, but as of late I enjoy long walks to the couch ! It’s an ebb and flow.

What clothing lines or stores do you like to buy for your children?

I love love love buying gently used clothing from Value Village or Goodwill – I always find gems there for a steal of a deal. And considering how many clothing items we go through due to ripped knees and stains, I have a hard time justifying retail prices for children’s clothing.

Three things in my purse right now are…

Phone charger, hand cream and I’ll never leave the house without lip chap. Chapped lips will ruin my day.

My favourite drugstore buy is?

Ok, so get this: I only buy makeup from the brand Essie. It’s normally sold at Shoppers; It’s a makeup line that is quality products without the makeup price-tag. It’s probably the best kept secret, shhhh.

My guilty pleasure is?

Binge watching Ru Paul’s drag race in the bath while eating a chocolate bar or two.
