I had the opportunity to check out the All New 2016 Toyota Prius last week. While I typically write about large family vehicles, the Toyota Prius would definitely work for an urbanite family of 4.
It’s fuel economy combined with a starting price point which includes so many great features makes this an ideal wallet-friendly family choice.
Toyota Prius is the most popular hybrid vehicle in the world, and the most fuel-efficient non-plug-in hybrid vehicle in Canada.
Some features that I think make it a great urban family vehicle:
- Wireless Phone Charger
- Park Assist (both parallell and back-in)
- All around sensors and auto-braking
- Plenty of trunk space for cargo (ie. stroller!)
- Heated seats
- Navigation system
- Push button start
- Toyota Safety Sense:Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Auto High Beam, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
All this, and the starting price is under $30,000.
If you’re interested in hybrid but need more space (like I do), check out the Highlander Hybrid I drove last year.
