Britax Pinnacle Clicktight Review

Picking the right car seat for your child can be a difficult one, especially with how many options there are out there. Even prior to working with Modern Mama, Britax has been my go-to for all my baby gear for my children. Both of my kids have always had Britax car seats and strollers and I have loved every single one of them! Recently, Britax sent me their newest booster seat for us to test out and we have been incredibly impressed.

Features

• ClickTight Technology-  This new feature has made car seat installation a breeze! Simply, pop open the base and thread the seat belt though. No more digging into your seat trying to find those clasps! For so long, I was just guessing and hoping that my child harness was tight enough. With the ClickTight technology, when the harness is at the proper level of tightness you will hear an audible clicking noise. This gave us immense peace of mind knowing they were in their seat properly.
• Side Impact Cushion-  If you’re looking for all the bells and whistles in the safety department this is the seat for you! With, energy-absorbing cushions on the exterior of the seat this aims to reduce impact crash energy before reaching your child.
• Safecell Base- This system helps keep your child safe by compressing and lowering the center of gravity reducing the forward movement of the seat.
• Weight Capacity-  Your child is able to stay in a 5-point harness until they are 65lbs, which was a huge selling feature for me. Plus, they as able to use this seat all the way up to 120lbs, this is the last seat you will ever need!
• No Thread Harness- This is now a standard is many of Britax’s car seats but I love this feature. I know what a pain it can be to have to re-thread a harness as your child grows and it is a relief to know I will never need to do it again with our new seats.
•  Expiry- ClickTight car seats manufactured after June 2010 have a service life of 10 years!! So long as we do not get into any accidents I should be able to pass this seat down to my son, which is amazing.

Other features worth mentioning:

• Easily fit into my car due to it’s sleek and narrow design.
• Incredibly comfortable
• Features arm rests and two cup holders ( which my daughter loves!)
• Easy to remove cover, for effortless cleaning.

Things That We Loved!

Having a car seat that is easy to install is a must for me, and, this seat was exactly what I was looking for. The ClickTight technology is a life saver – literally! The peace of mind that I am able to get knowing how much extra safety precautions that Britax puts into their seats in amazing. Even if I didn’t receive this seat in exchange for my honest review, I would have purchased it anyway. Having my child be able to stay in a 5-point harness as long we possible was something that was very important to me. Many of the other boosters on the market only offer a seat belt option. Which is fine, but, we all know that a 5-point harness just gives that extra bit of safety protection. Plus, you can’t beat a 10-year lifespan on a car seat!

So if you’re in the market for a car seat that is incredibly safe, comfortable, easy to install, and will last you a decade then this is it! I would recommend this seat in a heartbeat! For more information visit Britax’s website here.
