November is here and so is the chilly weather it seems.  Fortunately there are a few craft fairs to check out this weekend to keep yourself warm.   Along with that we have also included some of the local Remembrance Day Celebrations.  Here is the listings for this weekends Around Vancouver Town. Saturday November 9th, 2013 

Curious Flea, 810 Quayside Drive, New Westminster,BC  ( 10am – 5pm)

The Curious Flea is a social flea market…a new way of ‘fleaing’.They’ve curated an incredible collection of vendors selling spectacular wares ranging from antique to Mid-Century Modern to 50′s kitsch to upcycled furniture and decor. This isn’t your usual bargain basement flea market, but rather a treasure hunter’s dream.

Come and enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas at Archbishop Carney’s Annual Christmas Craft Fair. This two day event will have over 120 tables with unique selections of quality hand-crafted gifts; plus wonderful door prizes and raffle prizes to be won.

Admission is $3, Student & Seniors $1, Kids Free.

Circle Craft Christmas Market, Vancouver Convention Centre West location (10am – 9pm)

Over 300 artisans from coast to coast will come together for the 40th Annual Circle Craft Christmas Market. With artisans, artists, and crafters from all disciplines, including pottery, wood, glass, metal, fibre, fashion, jewellery, and more, there will be much to explore!

23rd Annual Vancouver Health Show, Vancouver Convention Centre (10am – 6pm)

The Health Shows provide new, reliable and practical diet, supplement, exercise and lifestyle tips that promote healthier living.There’s something for everyone between the daily roster of inspiring seminars with Canada’s leading health experts.

Explore the aisles enjoying an abundance of tasty food, learn about cutting-edge health products, services and fitness techniques, relax with a bodywork treatment, shopping with special event pricing and discover the latest trends.

Circle Craft Christmas Market, Vancouver Convention Centre West location (10am – 5pm)

Over 300 artisans from coast to coast will come together for the 40th Annual Circle Craft Christmas Market. With artisans, artists, and crafters from all disciplines, including pottery, wood, glass, metal, fibre, fashion, jewellery, and more, there will be much to explore!

Remembrance Day Ceremony, North Burnaby Cenotaph, Confederation Park , Willingdon Avenue and Penzance Drive (10:30am )

Parade begins at 10:30 AM from Safeway parking lot, 4440 Hastings Street. Ceremony begins at 10:45 AM.

Remembrance Day Ceremony, South Burnaby Cenotaph, Bonsor Park ,Imperial Street and Nelson Avenue (10:30am)

Parade begins at 10:30 AM from Legion #83, 5289 Grimmer Street. Ceremony begins at 11:00 AM.

Remembrance Day Loonie Skate , Kensington Recreation Complex ,6159 Curtis Street, Burnaby (11:30am – 3pm)

This public skate is a low-cost recreational opportunity. Admission is only $1.00 per person; free for children three years and younger. The ratio of children to adults must not be greater than 3 to 1. Skates and helmets are included in admission fee. Skating bars are not available during loonie skates

Remembrance Day Skate Port Coquitlam , Port Coquitlam Recreation Complex, 2150 Wilson Avenue (1pm – 4pm)

Join the Parks and Recreation Arena Attendants for some skating fun.   Regular admission rates apply!

Remembrance Day ceremonies , Memorial Peace Park , 11900 224 Street, Maple Ridge (10:30am – 11:30am)

Remembrance Day ceremonies take place in Maple Ridge on November 11 at Memorial Peace Park. The parade from the Legion Building on 224 Street to Memorial Peace Park starts at 10:30am. The official ceremony will take place after the parade is over in Memorial Peace Park. This is a free event.
