The Edmonton Comics & Entertainment Expo is back! Happening September 18th-20th at the Edmonton Expo Center. This fantastic event truly has something for everyone including comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming, and cosplay.
The expo has tons of activities happening throughout the weekend, along with some pretty incredible celebrity guests coming to Edmonton and a few exciting special experiences for 2026. Plus, we are giving away a pair of 3 day passes! (valued at $138 for the pair)

What’s Happening at the Edmonton Expo?
Celebrity Q&A
All of your fave fandom stars are making their way to EDMONTON EXPO.
One of the best parts of Edmonton Expo is always seeing who is coming to town! Fans can get up close and personal with some of their favorite celebrities during Q&A sessions, hear behind-the-scenes stories and even ask their own questions. There are also opportunities for autographs and professional photo ops throughout the weekend.

NEW for 2026!
John Cena Live
One of the biggest additions to Edmonton Expo 2026 is John Cena Live!
John Cena will be appearing on Sunday, September 20, with his special John Cena Live presentation beginning at 4:15 PM.
General admission seating for John Cena Live is FREE with Expo admission and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans wanting guaranteed seating can purchase Silver or Gold tickets.
There will also be opportunities to purchase John Cena autographs and professional photo ops during his Edmonton appearance.
Colin O’Donoghue VIP Meet & Greet
On Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20th, Colin O’Donoghue is hosting a special VIP Meet & Greet. The experience includes an intimate 25-minute Q&A with a small group of fans, followed by an exclusive selfie.
This is a separately ticketed experience and space is limited. Saturday is sold out but Sunday has some spaces left. Click here to purchase.
Cosplay
Get ready to show off your cosplay. With events like the Cosplay Red Carpet and Cosplay Competitions, you can flaunt your look, have photos taken, and compete for cosplay glory. If you’re not cosplaying at the show, come take a look at what fellow fans have created and snap some awesome pics. Kids can get in on the fun too with their very own Kids’ Cosplay Red Carpet!

Make sure to check out Artist Alley, where you can discover artwork from both professional and independent artists. Some artists will even be taking commissions during the Expo, so you can have a completely custom piece created!
Anime
Get ready to POWER UP! Anime fans will have lots to check out throughout the weekend, from meeting their favorite voice actors to cosplay, panels and live performances.

IdolFest is back for 2026, giving solo and group performers the chance to take the stage and live out their pop idol dreams.
The Itasha Showcase is also returning with vehicles covered in incredible anime, manga and gaming artwork.
Gaming
Gamers, get ready to level up! Edmonton Expo is bringing gaming voice actors to Edmonton for Q&As and meet and greets, along with plenty of other gaming fun.

Edmonton Expo says they are “leveling up” their gaming booths for 2026, so we will be watching for more gaming announcements as we get closer to September!
Sci-Fi & Fantasy
Sci-fi and fantasy fans have plenty to look forward to as well! Meet actors from some of your favorite shows and movies, attend panels and find other fans during themed cosplay meetups.
There will be Sci-Fi & Fantasy Cosplay Meetups covering fandoms including Star Wars, Doctor Who, House of the Dragon and The Lord of the Rings, with more programming still to be announced.
Kid Friendly Activities
Edmonton Expo is an all-ages event, so kids can absolutely get in on the fun!
One activity already confirmed for younger fans is the Kids’ Cosplay Red Carpet, where Edmonton’s littlest superheroes, princesses, villains and favorite characters can show off their costumes.
Families can also explore Artist Alley, check out the incredible cosplay, shop for comics and collectibles, meet their favorite characters and enjoy family-friendly programming throughout the weekend.
More specific kids’ activities are still to be announced, so check back closer to the event!
