The law of attraction and how you can make it work for you
The law of attraction is always working, whether you know HOW it works or not. Think about it this way: We use electricity every single day, but how many of us really know how it works? We just need to know how to switch on a light or other appliances to get the advantage of electricity. It works the same way with the law of attraction. We simply need to know HOW to make it work for us.
Everything is energy
All the energy that exists is here now. Energy cannot be created nor destroyed; it can simply be changed from one state to another (Einstein).
We are therefore always surrounded by energy that we can make work for us to create what we wish for in life.
What you focus on expands
We must realize that “What you focus on expands”. This is where we need to think more about what we think and say, and create a positive focus. An example from my own personal healing journey: I had really bad shoulder pain. I don’t know what caused it, but what I realized one day, was that I kept manifesting the pain to stay in my shoulder. I kept saying: “My shoulder is killing me”. When I heard myself say that, I knew I had to change it in order for my shoulder pain to disappear. So I changed it to: “My shoulder is flexible and strong”. I no longer have shoulder pain.
How you do anything is how you do everything
Are you always late for appointments? Do you tell yourself that you are not a morning person? Do you always meet creeps on dates?
You are a creative being, your thoughts create constantly and that is what shapes your reality. You can change your thoughts, so they can change your life.
Say you need to go to the most important job interview of your life. Do you think you are going to be on time for that? Absolutely!
Are you going on vacation and your flight leaves at 5am. Are you then a morning person? Absolutely!
Are you focused on creeps? Then guess what you will meet on your next date…
Change your thoughts to focus on what you DO want, not on what you DON’T want, because either way, you will get it.
This is why I do affirmations every day.
Every morning I say my affirmations. Actually I don’t say them, I dance and sing them! Follow this link to my website to see how I do my affirmations.
It is crucial that we create a positive statement that contains what we WANT to focus on in order to change a certain behaviour or lifestyle for the affirmations to work.
For example: “I hope my baby DOESN’T wake up ten times tonight” vs. “My baby WILL sleep though the night”. “I HATE my job” vs. “I CREATE the perfect job for myself”.
My favourite after I had my baby is: “I love my beautiful body and accept it every day”. I say this every day, well knowing that I still have some extra pounds that I would like to get rid of. But I know they won’t come off if I focus on losing them. I need to focus on loving my body for what it looks like and then it will change.
Today’s affirmation: I love my beautiful body and accept it every day!
