Let’s Go Berry Picking: Our 5 Local Picks

berrypicking

It’s the time of year to head to the farm for an afternoon of berry picking. Your little ones will enjoy helping as you stock up for the freezer, baking or jams. All of our picks below offer activities and more than just berry fields around the Fraser Valley.

Driediger Farms

Raspberries, blueberries, currants, and blackberries are all currently available. Bring a bucket and buy some fresh corn at their market too.

Emma Lea Farms

Ladner | Website

All the usual berries plus Boysenberries and Tayberries right now on Westham Island. With Emma’s Ice Cream stand to finish off your picking fun and plenty of jams & jellies for sale, it’s a great afternoon outing.

Westham Island Herb Farm

Ladner | Website

One of my favourites and they have their Thank You day coming up too. Go visit them to pick up locally grown produce, herbs and seedlings as well as loads of other goodies.

Krause Berry Farms

Langley | Website

Bakery, animals, corn pizza, play area. This place has it all.

Maan Farms

Abbotsford | Website

Worth the drive once they reopen (a fire destroyed a large part of the property earlier this month) to see the play area, petting zoo, winery and wagon rides and more. Still currently open for berry picking.
