Tell us about yourself Sharon
I am passionate about helping families in any way that I can. I have helped many families with sleep but in the past I have helped families who have children who have special needs mainly autism. I am trained as a special education teachers assistant and worked for the Surrey school district supporting special needs learners. I am married and have two children of my own both who had to be sleep trained because they never wanted to sleep. As a family we love to explore the outdoors and stay active however we can.
Why did you become a sleep consultant?
I used Cheekychops to sleep train both my children and I truly believe in the sleep training process. It changed my life and my families life. Without sleep many things in life were going wrong. Once we achieve sleep, everything was normal once again and motherhood was enjoyable. I love being able to help families go from sleep deprived to well rested. It puts a smile on my face when I know every family I support is sleeping well.
What is your favourite part of your role?
I love babies and children. The most favourite part of my role is getting to know and meet some beautiful babies. I have developed such special relationships with families that I treasure. Many still check in with me as I check in with them.
What do clients say when you’re finished working with them?
“Thank you, thank you, thank you.” Within the first few nights of sleep training my clients are so grateful for choosing to sleep train. They are so happy their child is sleeping better.
How long have you been a sleep consultant?
I have been a sleep consultant for little over a year.
Why should a mother invest in the help of a sleep consultant?
A mother should invest in sleep training as sleep is a very important part of life. If you are not well rested then chances are you are not enjoying motherhood to its full extent you may be irritable, lethargic and even having problems with your other half. Once you start to sleep better, everything improves greatly. Sleep is very important for babies as that is when they grow and develop. A well rested child is a happy child. Teaching babies early on about healthy sleep habits will last a lifetime.
