I recently had the pleasure of working with the photographer Deb Brown. I was referred to her by a local mom whose Christmas cards I had gushed over. I could just tell that Deb had this great eye for capturing family shots. I don’t know how she does this thing where everyone is looking just the right direction at the same time, but she does. I was very excited about our family photo session.
We met Deb at Crescent Beach on a very sunny Saturday in March. We could not have lucked out better with the weather, and even though my 7 year old wiped out on the beach and was crying minutes before the above shot was taken, Deb persevered.
I love how she captured the very mischief in Berlin’s eyes. I see her tenacity and her independence, exuberance, defiance, athleticism, and ‘big future self’ in this image. Deb captured it all, and the colours are stunning to boot.
Above, the very top photo is my 4 year old Ivy. Running. Always Running. She never stops running. The photo embraces her laughter, beauty and free spirit in one split second.
My eldest is suddenly a big girl. Almost a pre-teen. Yikes. Deb managed to capture her girly cheeks and her grown up eyes all in one shot.
If you’re looking for a gorgeous family canvas for your living room Deb Brown Photography is amazing and I completely recommend her. She is offering a 2-day photo event on June 1 & 2 at Campbell Valley Park. This shoot includes 1/2 hour of her time with your family, a CD with 8 post edited high resolution photos and the cost is $100. This is a phenomenal deal and she fills these events VERY quickly (she only does two per year!). Book Now by dropping her a line: debbrownphotography@gmail.com
My family!: Mike, Berlin, Nya, Ivy and me, Connie.
We had Deb Brown do our little boys newborn and 6 month shots and she too did an amazing job with them. She has such a warm and friendly personality and was very patient. We would definatley recommend her!
