Summer has arrived early this year in Vancouver. One of the best ways to beat the heat with little ones is to head out to the spray park. Whether your toddler is a brave adventurer, or just enjoys putting their fingers in the spray, even very little ones will have a good time. With most spray parks located close to playgrounds, it’s also easy to move back and forth from the water to the swings. To help you out, we’ve compiled a list of Vancouver spray parks all across the city.
Vancouver Spray Parks
Granville Island
One of the most popular Vancouver spray parks, with good reason. The waterslide really sets it apart. There’s a large, shady playground nearby, and of course all the amenities of Granville Island.
1318 Cartwright Street, Vancouver
Variety Kids Spray Park in Stanley Park
This one typically tops the list of Vancouver spray parks, along with Granville Island. Located at Lumberman’s Arch. The view of the water and the North Shore mountains can’t be beat.
2000 W Georgia Street, Vancouver
Grandview Park
Located in the heart of Commercial Drive, this water park was added when the park was renovated in 2011. It’s small but worth a visit, with a fabulous playground nearby and lots of shade in the park.
1657 Charles Street, Vancouver
Connaught Park
Located next to Kitsilano Community Centre, this spray park is a little quieter. There is also a playground in the park. If you want a slightly more relaxed experience, check out Connaught Park.
2390 W 10th Avenue, Vancouver
MacLean Park
Once again, if you’re looking for slightly quieter Vancouver spray parks to add to your list, this is one to check out. This neighbourhood park located next to Strathcona Community Centre has kept East Van mamas coming back for more.
