A Perfect Summer Breakfast Recipe | Overnight Blueberry-Oat Mason Jar

FullSizeRender (56)

This Overnight Blueberry-Oat Mason Jar breakfast is absolutely the ideal summer breakfast. With the heat we have experienced here on the West Coast this summer, who wants to make pancakes for the kids in the morning? Not this mama.

I received some yogurt recently from Olympia Dairy and the gift delivery came with a few recipes. I made this one just for myself to try for breakfast, but it didn’t even make to breakfast. My girls saw it in the fridge and begged to eat it after dinner that day I made it. They loved it and I’ve made this almost every day for my middle daughter now for the past couple of weeks.

She reminds me every evening: “Don’t forget to make my breakfast Mom!”.

Refrigerate this one for at least an hour (or overnight) for on the go:

Ingredients

1/4 cup instant oats
1/4 cup Olympic Organic French vanilla yogurt
1 tbsp. chia seeds
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup diced or whole fresh blueberries
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

Mix all the ingredients directly in a mason jar. You can also add more fruit on the top.

Refrigerate overnight, or at least an hour.

Eat straight from the jar!

I’ve simply been using reusable plastic bowls with a lid instead of glass for my girls.
