Around Vancouver Town: Food & Fun, January 24th-26th 2014

How are you enjoying your January so far, mama? Have you found some great things to do to keep you and your littles immersed in fun activities?

January seems to be a bit light on events Around Vancouver Town but we do have a few bits to keep you going.

Last week’s edition of Around Vancouver Town featured some fabulous events to celebrate Chinese New Year like FlyOver Canada’s feature of Flight of the Dragon and others that go right into February.

Here’s our top picks for you this weekend.

Gluten-Free Expo

If you’ve been following along on the blog you’ll know that my family is doing it best to go gluten-free. I published a yummy recipe Superhero Smasharoni that was a huge success in my household. I am looking forward to the event to gather more inspiration as we make the shift to a healthier lifestyle without wheat.

‘The Gluten Free Expo is Canada’s largest Gluten Free event. Come discover, sample and buy hundreds of Gluten Free products while learning from leading experts!’

Check out their website for more information.

When: January 25 – 26, 2014, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Where: PNE, Forum Building, 2901 E. Hastings St.

Tickets available online for $12 while quantities lasts, limited number of advanced tickets available. Tickets available for $15 (cash) at the door. Children ages 10 or under get in free.

Vancouver Winter Farmer’s Market

‘You are what you eat. Prepare to meet your maker.’

I love that they have a sense of humour as when it’s cold outside, you need it! Thankfully, the winter farmer’s market is held during the day when the possibility of a bit of sunshine is most likely. I’ll see you there, with mitts on.

Nat Bailey Stadium
