Here we are at the end of September, and as we say hello to October there is so much fun to be had in Edmonton! If you aren’t visiting your local playground, enjoy a delicious meal or walking through the river valley why not check some of these activities out:

Culture Days

In celebration of Culture Days there are various activities happening throughout Alberta, many of the Edmonton activities are listed below but you can find a complete list of activities here!

Instrument Petting Zoo

Long & McQuade invite you to enjoy their famous Instrument Petting Zoo; you and your little ones will have an opportunity to try instruments of different varieties.

Arts & Crafts: Create Your Winspear

The Winspear Centre needs your help, as they are looking to transform their space they would love to see what your vision for them would be! Markers & craft supplies will be supplied so you and your littles can sketch out their plans.

Suzuki Early Childhood Education Class

The Suzuki Early Childhood Education Class is a free drop-in music class for children age 0-3 years. “Using a carefully selected set of action songs and lullabies, infants and toddlers experience learning music as a second language following the same natural process as learning to speak their mother tongue.”

When: October 1 | 10 am to 11 am

Storytime Back in Time

Join Thomas Wharton, author of Rutherford the Time-Travelling Moose, as he takes you on a journey through Edmonton’s history! Following this interactive story you will have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of Rutherford the Travelling Moose.

Farmers’ Market

Cineplex Family Favorites

Did you know that every Saturday there is a “Family Favorites” movie showing at various Cineplex Theatres; this week features The Land Before Time.

The Edmonton Corn Maze is now open for the season, and it is a great place to have fun getting lost with the whole family!

Haunted Pumpkin Festival

Celebrate the season with the Haunted Pumpkin Festival, there will be activities for the whole family!

Horse Sense Training & Petting Zoo Open House

Enjoy the 9th Annual Open House at Horse Sense Training & Petting Zoo and experience carriage rides, goat races, a petting zoo and pony rides!

Celebrate 25 Years of STARS

STARS has been operating in Edmonton for 25 years and it pleased to invite the community to partake in their celebration!

John Walter Museum

Venture back in time with a visit to the John Walter Museum; enjoy a guided tour of the home that started it all as well as hand on activities.

Family Fun Film Fest

The Edmonton Short Film Festival invites your to enjoy the Free Family Fun Film Fest! Activities include: showings of family friendly short films made by Albert Fllmmakers, face painting, virtual reality demonstrations, opportunities to make your own short movie, free popcorn and concession.

Mile Zero Danza Extravaganza

Mile Zero Dance invites you to enjoy a selection of free dance and movement classes; all ages and levels are welcome and you can find the schedule here!
