The Stony Plain Outdoor Pool definitely qualifies as a Hidden Gem in my books, it is conveniently located beside a playground and spray park so you can enjoy some extra fun (and/or a picnic) before or after swimming.
The main pool offers swimming lessons daily, note: it is closed to public use during lessons in the morning but is open in the afternoon. Find the full schedule at www.stonyplainpool.com
In addition to the lane swimming, and main area there is also a diving board which my five year old loved!!
And the wading pool! My little ones love the wading pool since they can stand freely in the water and “swim” without a life jacket on. There is also a selection of toys in and around the pool to keep them busy and having fun!
