So, whether it’s oven cleaning or living room decluttering, you have to do it again and again to keep your house clean. However, it can be quite challenging if you have kids and the following are some tips you can use.
Establish daily routines and chores for your kids
Having kids at home is like a double-edged sword for the cleanliness of the house. On one hand, It can be frustrating because kids will keep cluttering and making your house dirty. But on the other hand, they in fact can help you solve the problem, provided that you can direct them well. So, it’s best to establish daily routines and chores so that they will be used to doing things that can keep your house clean and tidy. For example, you can direct them to tidy up their toys after playing with them and make beds after waking up, and then make those activities their habits. After doing that for quite some time, your kids will start doing those activities subconsciously and your house will stay clean and neat although there are kids.
Organize and declutter your home
When you have kids, you may find that your house actually has many things that you don’t need anymore. This is because kids tend to look for things to play when they get bored. Sometimes, they will end up cluttering your house with things that you have long put away in very deep places. Once you find those things again, you can start organizing them and decide which one to get rid of and which one to keep. You might need a basket or two for this activity so that the things that you want to keep won clutter your home anymore. It’s also a good idea to start teaching your kids to put back everything they have taken out to where it belongs.
Implement quick clean-up sessions
It cannot be denied that a mountain of trash can make anyone feel lazy to clean it up. So, it’s always best to clean everything up periodically so that they won’t turn into a mountain of trash. In this case, you can schedule one or two quick clean-up sessions every day, such as after lunch and after dinner. This session should be participated by every member of your family including your kids so that it can be more efficient and finish faster. Once this becomes a habit, you will find your home clean and tidy almost all the time.
