The amazing weather is back and with that amazing heat comes the start of the berry crop season here in British Columbia. Each year our province gets ready for the yummiest time of year and one of the most popular places to go berry picking in B.C. is Maan Farms. This amazing farm has something for everyone whether you are going with the kids or on a date this is a great place to be and their season of activities is just getting started.
FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Pedal Go-Cart Race Track – this is a super fun way to spend an hour racing your family around a great little track that the people at Maan Farms created. A bit of fun that you don’t see at most farms and is always a hit with all the kids. Of course this is always a fun option with a group of older friends too. See how many laps you can do around grandpa!
U-pick Berries – When you have had a little fun at the farm make sure you take a moment to go berry picking, with their gorgeous strawberries you wont want to miss the chance to taste a truly delicious BC strawberry. Nothing is better than a B.C. strawberry and over in their kitchen they will share tons of brilliant ways to use them! Of course they don’t just have strawberries they have a great collection of raspberries and blueberries too making it a great opportunity to stock up before the season is over. BONUS getting a season pass to the farm gains you FREE entry to the upick all season long!
Jumping Pillow – Like a large trampoline this close to the ground jumping pillow is a blast for kids! It is a great way to get them pooped before you get in the car to head home so make sure that this is one of your last stops before heading home.
Wooden Fortress – Every kid loves a great park to climb on and their wooden fortress is great for that. A perfect place for the kids to play while you catch your breath for a minute and a great way for your little one to meet some new farm loving friends!
Zip Line – Who doesn’t love a good zip line?! Such a fun way to get a thrill while at the farm, pick some berries and sore along on their super fast zip line!
Petting Zoo – What is a trip to the farm without a little petting zoo fun. Filled with cute friendly farm animals your little ones will be giggling up a storm playing with the baby goats and chickens. Nothing is cuter than kids with baby goats.
Once you’re done playing and adventuring, come inside for a homemade delicious lunch or snack.
FOR ADULTS
Maan Farms Winery – Not only does this beautiful farm have lots of fun stuff for families to do there is also a quiet little winery to go along with it. Specializing is delicious berry wines this winery has a few awards to brag about with several of their wines gaining different awards across the board from bronze to gold. Something that they earned for good reason as their wines are truly divine especially their sweet dessert wines that I have grown to love.
Goat Yoga – You heard me this farm is the coolest place to be on the days they hold their goat yoga sessions. All the rage right now this yoga session will leave you feeling great while surrounding you with the cutest silliest yoga partners you can find on the farm: baby goats. This is a perfect way to work out and giggle with a group of your girlfriends!
With so much fun stuff to do it will be hard to get it all done in one visit which is why we always suggest thinking about snagging a season’s pass so you can take advantage of all the savings at the park all season long!
