FRIDAY, JULY 19th
Fri, July 19th (5pm – 10pm) – Shipyards Night Market
Location: Lonsdale Shipyards, 15 Wallace Mews, North Vancouver
Details: Entering its third year, the Night Market has exploded into a fantastic night out. The combo of a wide variety of foods, face painting, live local music, farmers and handcrafted goods makes for a great evening for all ages. Over 50 tents are filled with local products showcasing BC’s artisans, bakers and farmers.
Fri, July 19th (7pm – 9pm) – Live in Lynn Valley (The Mazacote)
Location: Lynn Valley Village, North Vancouver
Details: Friday evenings 7-9 pm in July & August this summer sees the return of the popular Live in Lynn Valley concert series. This Friday features the popular Steel Toe Boots! Free event.
Fri, July 19th (7pm – 9pm) – Evenings in Edgemont (Adam Woodall)
Location: Edgemont Village, North Vancouver
Details: The 2013 Evenings in Edgemont summer concert series has an amazing lineup of bands lined up for Friday nights throughout July and August. This Friday night, bring your kids, grab your lawn chairs, and spend an evening in the Village with your neighbours and enjoy amazing entertainment from Headwater. Attendance at these evenings has grown to average 1200 to 1500 or more, and little kids seem especially excited to come out for dancing in the streets (our 3 year old and 1 year old get up and dance for hours at this one!). Free event.
Fri, July 19th (7pm – 9pm) – Concerts in the Cove (The Bobcats)
Location: Panorama Park, Deep Cove, North Vancouver
Details: A free, outdoor, family-friendly concert series held in Deep Cove’s scenic Panorama Park Friday evenings from mid July to mid August. Come bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the music with family and friends.
SATURDAY, JULY 20th
Sat, July 20th (2pm – 4pm) – SummerFest Dance Saturdays @ Lonsdale Quay
Location: Lonsdale Quay Market, 123 Carrie Cates Court, North Vancouver
Details: Come out every Saturday starting June 29 – August 31 for free cultural dance lessons and social dancing for all levels with Salsa Studio. Each event begins with an interactive lesson where you will learn to salsa, merenge and bachata. All while enjoying the cool ocean breeze at one of Vancouver’s most beautiful outdoor dance spaces!
Sat, July 20th (4pm – 7pm) – Cates Park Summer Concert
Location: Cates Park, Deep Cove, North Vancouver
Details: This Saturday come out to enjoy free live performances by Broken Spectre, Danny Echo and The Oceanographers. The Cates Park Concerts are free outdoor concerts, held on Saturday nights each summer in picturesque Cates Park (right on the ocean with an enormous playground that’s great for kids of all ages, including toddlers!).

Location: Harbour Cruises Marina, 501 Denman Street, Vancouver
Details: Kicking off the Caribbean Days Festival’s Summer Series of Events is the Boat Cruise held the weekend before the Festival. Cruise around the Harbour with 2 live DJ’s, sample delicious authentic Caribbean food and dance to tropical rhythms on board a private charter! Be sure to buy your tickets early for this one.
Sun, July 21th (2-4pm) – Music in the Park
Location: Cleveland Park (Capilano Dam), North Vancouver
Details: Music is the Park is a free summer concert series that takes place at Cleveland Park/Dam in North Vancouver (July 21st features Don Strom). The concerts are set against the stunning backdrop of the North Shore Mountains and Capilano Lake. Bring a picnic and enjoy live jazz, folk, blues, rock, gypsy and Celtic swing. There will also be Art Displays, Demonstrations & Plein Air.
