1.Vancouver’s Hot Chocolate Run
Runs takes place in Stanley Park
This is a 5 or 10K Walk, Jog or Run around Stanley Park’s Seawall. Registering for this race also qualifies you for a discount when signing up for the upcoming Green Sock Half and Shamrock’n Race. Register by Mar 9.
2.Stanley Park Young Naturalists: Our Feathered Friends
Learn all about nests. Do you know what happens to abandoned bird nests? And why are woodpeckers important for many other birds? Create a bird’s nest box with recycled materials, and listen to stories about birds. For ages 5 – 14 with an adult; please pre-register.
3.Busytown at the Waterfront Theatre
1412 Cartwright St, Vancouver, Granville Island
Busytown is always buzzing with activity. But what do people do all day? That’s where Huckle Cat comes in—he’ll take us on a tour of his great neighbourhood. There is so much to see and do and so many wonderful friends to visit. Huckle shows us how Farmer Pig and Grocer Cat work together to bring food to the town. Construction Worker and his crew build new houses, and Fire chief and the gang keep them safe. Isn’t it wonderful how everyone works together to keep Busytown busy? This show starts March 1st and runs until March 31st.
SUNDAY MARCH 2ND
11 am – 4 pm, Heritage Hall, 3102 Main Street, Vancouver
Choose from programs for kids ages preschool to 18 years old. Meet face to face with camp directors and former camp attendees. See informational videos, experience camp activities, and pick up brochures. Choose from overnight and day camps that focus on: sports, education, empowerment/leadership, arts, outdoors and special needs. The first 100 families at the expo will receive a complimentary gift bag. All families will be entered into drawings to receive up to $3000 in prizes!
5. Lego Exhibit at Science World
Create extraordinary vehicles to get where you want to go by travelling over land, sea and air in this transportation-inspired exhibition. Build with LEGO® bricks and explore some amazing pre-made creations. Where will you go? Runs until May 6th.
