It’s getting hot, mama! And what better way to cool off (without getting too wet) by checking out the Top 5 Spray Parks around Vancouver this summer.
1.Variety Kids Water Park in Stanley Park
Located within Stanley Park at the Lumberman’s Arch, this spray park boasts the most spectacular view of the North Shore and offers plenty of fun for children 10 and under and families too. There’s plenty of grass for picnicking, a concession stand nearby and washrooms too.
2.Granville Island Water Park
Bring your suits for some great fun at this busy spray park. There’s even a water slide for those who dare to brave the cold rushing water!
3. Rocky Point Spray Park in Port Moody
Take to kidlets to another great spray park about 45 minutes from home. Located at 2800 Murray Street [map], this area has great restaurants and amenities close by. Check out Pajo’s Fish & Chips, and Rocky Point Ice Cream & Café. (They were at the Folk Festival this year and we loved their version of Rocky Road. Yum!)
4. Bear Creek Park in Surrey
Spray park for all ages, lots of grass to lay out blankets, picnic shelters and tables, mini golf and a train for kids. Lots of free parking. FREE
5. Queen’s Park in New Westminster
This park has something for everyone. Not only a fabulous spray and water park but there is a petting zoo, lots of shade from the old growth trees, playgrounds, picnic tables and shelters and free parking. FREE
