Leather.
I recently attended the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas to get the scoop on all the latest and greatest in baby gear hitting the market in the coming months. Leather was a big trend. I saw it on car-seats, strollers and even playyards and mini cradles. Unfortunately the price tag for these products reflect the lux nature of the materials.
The beautiful Babyhome Dream Premium shown above will retail at approximately $1500 and will be available in Canada via special order in early 2014. It is a mini-cradle made of natural leather and polished black aluminum. It features three interchangeable positions: rocking, wheels and stationary.
The Mutsy Stroller (and several other brands) are incorporating leather into their strollers too. Look for details such as handlebars and trim. The Evo Urban Nomad by Mutsy will be available in early 2014 and the Canadian price point has not yet been set, $569 US. Bassinet and adapters sold separately.
Clek, a fabulous booster and carseat company founded and based in Canada introduced their leather convertible seat and booster at ABC Kids this Fall. Find them in stores in 2014 for $799 for the Foonf convertible seat (left) and the Oobr leather booster seat will retail for $549.99. They each come in both colours.
