2021 Greater Vancouver Pumpkin Patches

2021 Greater Vancouver Pumpkin Patches

  UPDATED October 23, 2021

Well its that time of year again.  The cooler days and nights, the changing leaves the corn mazes and pumpkin patches.  When I started to put together this years list, I found so many that it took me all day to put it together.

We are so lucky to live in the Greater Vancouver area, there is no shortage of fall family fun outdoor activities!

As I get a chance to visit any of these, I will update the blog post with any info/review that I have.

Enjoy!

Review:  If you are going on the weekend, expect it to be busy!  There are lots of things to see and do and eat! The pumpkin ice-cream is a pretty decent size and I recommend sharing it. It is really yummy! There are mini donuts, fall flavored hot beverages, wine tastings and several meal options.  Families are kept busy during the day with the petting zoo, corn maze (wear boots – it is was really really muddy!), barnyard Adventureland (jumping pillow, bikes, zipline (my kids fav!) and much more! My kids love looking for the bunnies that are jumping around the grounds and feeding them by hand. My husbands and I really enjoyed the strawberry rhubarb wine!

At night you can enjoy several activities designed for adults and older kids, the Haunted forest, the scariest corn maze in Canada and Pitch Black.  3 experiences that I have yet to try!  Your night time tickets gets you access to all 3 experiences. Purchase tickets in advance online for a discount.

Taves Family Farm/Apple Barn

Another great all-round family fun spot is Taves Family Farm.  Kids can play in the “Farmville” area (petting barn, pedal carts, jumping pillow and enjoy the goats all around the farm. They offer seasonal strawberry, plum,  goji berries and apple u-pick . Stroll through the pumpkin patch and apple orchard, go for a hay ride and enjoy some non-alcoholic apple cider.  An estate cidery is on site as well – enjoy a cider while the kids play with the goats !  As of September 1, they are open 7 days a week 9-6pm.  You can even book a seasons pass. Book your tickets in advance.

Review: My family was gifted an opportunity to check out Taves.  It was a beautiful sunny day so we took in as much as we could.  We had a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch and maze.  We picked apples in the orchard, we jumped on the pillows and drove bikes around the new track.  We were excited to see the new adventure area down in the field with more animals to check out, a second jump pillow and a the new bike cart track.  On the weekends there are additional concessions open. We enjoyed some yummy apple cider slushies and took home some sweet pumpkins for our thanksgiving pies! We had a great time there, kids always enjoy the slides, zip line and bikes up in the barn plus the pillow jumping.  There was ample parking now that they use the fields off to the left now.

.

Willowview Farms
88 McCallum Road, Abbotsford

Willowview has always been a go -to fall event for us.  The great thing is they are FREE admission. You can walk around the farm, visit the petting barn, stroll thru the pumpkin patch and apple orchard, enjoy a hot apple cider or cool apple slushy! Bring a picnic and park yourself on one of many picnic tables. August Hours: Open Tuesday – Saturday 9-5:30 Closed Sunday and Monday No dogs on the farm please, parking lot only. Masks required inside country store

Review: We always make a stop to check out Willowview every year.  We always have to get our annual picture in the big red chair!  This year the petting zoo is not open and there are no hay rides due to covid.  They do have some goats out in the field to feed though.  We picked apples and plums in the orchard and used them for Thanksgiving pies.  Getting an apple cider slushie is a tradition for us, and they never disappoint.   There was less to do there this year, but we still had fun for an hour and I always love checking out the goodies in the store.
