Modern Mama and Fever have collaborated to present some new and original events, perfect for both families and date-nights. Last evening, I was invited to the Candlelight Concert: A Tribute to Queen. I had seen previous pictures of other candlelight concerts, but was blown away by the intimacy of it all. My husband is a big Queen fan, and it is his birthday next week, so I treated him to dinner and this concert for his birthday.

Imagine rock concert meets string quartet. These beautiful violins and cello playing with the crowd clapping along. It was so much fun! Candles surrounded the quartet and filled the entire stage. I found myself just staring at them, watching the fire flicker, mesmerized. It was such a unique event and perfect date night out. This was my first event with Fever, and based on how much fun it was, I am very excited to try out other events.

CANDLELIGHT CONCERTS

Candlelight was born with a clear objective: to make cultural experiences more accessible. This objective is not limited solely to bringing the genre closer to music lovers of all ages; it also seeks to give visibility to exceptional talent, and to highlight the venues that form part of the city’s heritage.

With this in mind, Candlelight is present in over 80 cities around the world, including Singapore, Sydney, LA, Paris and London. Millions of guests have enjoyed a wide variety of programs featuring everything from the most well-known classical music by Beethoven and Mozart, to more contemporary works, as well as other genres, such as Jazz & Soul.

Edmonton’s concerts are held at Triffo Theatre in Allard Hall, and The Pioneer Cabin.

⏳ Duration: 60 minutes (doors open 45 mins prior to the start time and late entry is not permitted)
👤 Age requirement: 10 years old or older. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult
