As we approach another beautiful, snowy weekend in Edmonton, many of us are looking for some family friendly fun. So here is a list of what is happening for families, in #yeg this weekend:

Snowflake Festival

Join the Perron District in welcoming winter with the Snowflake Festival! The Snowflake Festival is an annual event that embraces winter with a Christmas “Light Up”, a variety of activities for the family, hot chocolate, roasted apples, a visit from Santa and his elves and more. You can find all the details here.

When: November 20 | 6:30 to 9 pm
Where: Various locations in the Perron District, St. Albert

Edmonton Public Library

Every week the Edmonton Public Library offers a variety of activities suitable for the whole family at each branch; you can find what is happening near you here.

Green Christmas

Celebrate Green Christmas with Martin Deerline and enjoy family friendly activities, refreshments and Photos with Santa!

When: November 21st | 9 am to 3:30 pm
Where: Martin Deerline West Edmonton and South Edmonton
Cost: FREE

All is Bright on 124

The businesses of 124 Street and High Street invite you to their annual light up festival; there will be a variety of activities for kids and adults of all ages! You can find more information on All is Bright here.

When: November 21st | 3 to 8 pm
Where: The event will be centered in the High Street area at 125 Street and 102 Avenue, but will also stretch throughout the 124 Street district.
Cost: FREE

Santa’s Parade of Lights

Celebrate the spirit of the Season with Santa’s Parade of Lights; the parade features 25 festively lit entries and will end with an opportunity for kids to share their letters to Santa with Santa and his elves, at Sir Winston Churchill Square.

When: November 21 | Starts at 4:30 pm and will take approx 40 mins

Reel Family Cinema

The Metro Cinema offers a family movie on a regular basis, this weekend’s ‘Reel Family Cinema’ features Shaun the Sheep.

When: November 21 | 2 pm
Where: Metro Cinema
Cost: Regular admission applies to adults | Children 12 and under are FREE

Here Comes Santa!

Santa is making his way to Sherwood Park Mall and will be arriving this Saturday! There will be activities and fun to be had starting at 11 am and Santa will be arriving at noon; the first 50 children will receive a free 5 x 7 photo.

When: November 21 | Starting at 11 am
Where: Sherwood Park Mall
Cost: There is no cost to see Santa but there is a cost if you would like a photo, prices vary.

Santa at Bonnie Doon Centre

Santa is arriving at Bonnie Doon Centre this weekend and he will be there until Christmas Eve!

When: November 21 | 11 am to 5:30 pm
Where: Bonnie Doon Centre
Cost: There is no cost to see Santa but there is a cost if you would like a photo, prices vary.

Santa’s Arrival at Southgate

Santa is touching down at Southgate Centre this weekend and will be residing there until Christmas Eve; there will be activities starting at 11:30 am and the first 200 families will receive a free 5 x 7 photo.

When: November 21 | Starting at 11:3o am (Santa arrives at noon)
Where: Southgate Centre
Cost: There is no cost to see Santa but there is a cost if you would like a photo, prices vary.

Vist the Farmers’ Market

Santa has landed in Edmonton and is available for a visit and a photo at various locations through Edmonton and area; you can find a full list of where he will be and when HERE.
