If you aren’t out visiting one of the many holiday craft shows happening this weekend or spending some time in the snow you might want to visit one of these fun family events. With a focus on Christmas there is no shortage of holiday spirit and family fun to be had, what tops your list this weekend?

Visit with Santa Claus

Santa has landed in Edmonton and is available for a visit and a photo at various locations through Edmonton and area; you can find a full list of where he will be and when HERE.

Festival of Trees

You can find Santa in his Den at the Festival of Trees again this year! He will be available for a visit and a photo and your little ones can take advantage of a few other activities while they are there, you can find all the details here and his hours are as follows:

Cost: Admission to the festival is as follows: Children (aged 2 to 12 years) $2 | Youth (aged 13 to 17) $5 | Adults $10 | Seniors $5

Festival of Trees (Stony Plain)

The Tri-Community Health & Wellness Foundation presents the Festival of Trees; with fun for the whole family! Find all the details here.

Lights Up!

Join the Fort Saskatchewan City Hall in celebrating the Christmas Spirit; in addition to the light up there will be hot chocolate, an opportunity to visit with Santa and a chance to take a stroll through the enchanted forest! All the details here.

Santa Claus Parade

Santa Claus will be in Leduc on November 27th for the Annual Santa Claus Parade; there will be a variety of family friendly activities taking place as well as an opportunity to meet the big guy in red! Find all the details here!

 Christmas in Central Park

You can get into the Christmas Spirit this year at Central Park in Spruce Grove, there will be plenty of family friendly activities as well as a chance to visit with Santa!

When: November 28th | 2:30 to 5:3o pm
Where:
 Central Park (Spruce Grove)
Cost: There is no cost but toy, food, and cash/gift card donations are being accepted at the event.

Christmas in the Park

Christmas in the Park is a fun family event that offers: a hay ride, a visit with Santa, an old fashion tea boiling contest, crafts, a bonfire and so much more!

When: November 28th | 5 to 9 pm
Where:
 Devon
Cost: $15 per family | $5 per person | Children under 3 are FREE

Kids Christmas Shoppe

At the Kids Christmas Shoppe, children are encouraged to come and purchase gifts for parents/grandparents/special people/etc with the help of Grandmothers from the GANG (Grandmothers of Alberta for a New Generation). Children will pick out their own gifts and receive help wrapping them so that Christmas is truly a surprise for their loved ones.

Cost: Gifts range from $5 to $20

Kids Carnival

To celebrate the launch of the newest book in the Abigail Andrews book Series, Nicole is throwing a free kids carnival, complete with bouncy castles, a magic show and more! All the details here.
