*Update: May 3, 2023 – Family Friendly Edmonton Oilers Playoffs Watch Parties

OEG Sports and Entertainment and the City of Edmonton announced today updates to the Edmonton Oilers outdoor playoff watch parties to enhance the downtown viewing experience for families.

The Ford Tailgate party and Ice District Plaza will now become 18+ ONLY with enhanced procedures for entry, including age certification, wrist banding and no re-entry. Admission will remain first come, first serve events with free admission. All other details of the match parties will remain the same.

Following the changes to the ICE District viewing parties, the City of Edmonton will be hosting family-friendly viewing parties at Sir Winston Churchill Square for Games 1 and 2 of Round 2. Event hours will be 6:30-11:30pm. Admission will be free and will feature games, food trucks, entertainment, and the game with sound on a large outdoor screen in the square. The Churchill Square event is not licensed for liquor sales and alcohol consumption is not permitted.

Also Due to the Shania Twain Concert, there will be no Rogers Place Away Game watch party for game 2 on Friday, May 5th.

***Fans attending the Ford Tailgate Party in Fan Park @ ICE District are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to support our new Fan Park Food Donation Program led by the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation and Edmonton’s Food Bank.
