The countdown to the New Year has begun! We’ll ring in the “noon year” with a BANG on the science stage during our Noon Year’s Eve science experiments, featuring our own version of fireworks and special candy cane ice-cream

World Water Park’s Family Beach Ball
Escape the cold and come celebrate at World Waterpark featuring live entertainment, good food, a spectacular indoor fireworks show, and great company! There’s no better way to ring in the new year with your friends and family.

Countdown At The Conservatory
Celebrate the end of 2018 and the start of 2019 with this family-friendly event. There will be hourly countdowns during the event hours, crafts, planting activities and more. Punch and a cupcake will also be available for those who would like a treat. Perfect for those who don’t want to wait until midnight to celebrate.

Fort Edmonton Park
You’ll enjoy an enchanting and elegant meal with loved ones, featuring a festive setting and the sounds of a guitar and cello playing in the background as you enjoy each other’s company. The Hotel Selkirk’s vintage and classy vibes serve as the perfect retreat for friends and family to gather, reminisce, and look forward to what 2019 has to bring.

New Year’s Eve Festival & Fireworks
Join the fun inside the Federal Building for activities the whole family can enjoy, including live music, roving performers, games, lantern-making, a brand new light installation, and more! The celebration continues outdoors on the Capital Plaza with main stage performances featuring main stage performances, ice carving, fire pits, and bannock-making.

Strathcona County NYE
Ring in New Year’s Eve with FREE family fun. Dress in layers to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities including snowshoeing, remote control bobsled races, indoor snowboarding, crafts, The Hockey Circus Show, skating and more! Warm up with hot chocolate and satisfy your sweet tooth with cabana à sucre.
This year, the wagon rides are FREE and are located in Broadmoor Lake Park beside the Sherwood Park Arena. Make sure to pick up your timed tickets beforehand at the Recreation Administration Office or inside Festival Place at the information booth during the event.
