Halloween on the North Shore is just around the corner!
Celebrate this weekend by checking out one of these local family-friendly Halloween activities, including spooky swims & skates & movies, ghost trains, two haunted houses in Edgemont Village and lots of safe trick-or-treat options for little ones at indoor & outdoor malls!
FRIDAY OCTOBER 30th
The Haunt of Edgemont (Halloween Display) – front yard open all day, back open 6 – 10 pm Monday to Friday and 12 noon – 10 pm Sat. 3414 Emerald Dr., North Van
Belmont Haunted House (2 pm – 9 pm) 1006 Belmont Ave, North Van
Fish or Treat – A Halloween Sleepover at the Aquarium (minimum age 6+)
Hallowe’en Spooktakular Youth Swim & Party (7:30 – 10 pm) – Ron Andrews Pool
Ghost Train in Stanley Park (5:30 – 9:30 pm Mon-Thurs, 11 am – 10 pm Fri-Sun)
Halloween Puppet Show (10:30 – 11am & 4 – 4:30 pm) – West Van Memorial Library
Halloween Party at the Library (4 – 5:30 pm) – North Vancouver City Library, 120 West 14th Street; Light up your Halloween! Wear your glow-in-the-dark clothes and lights to win prizes. Halloween Train Rides at Burnaby Central Railway (6 – 9 pm) – Confederation Park
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31st
Haunted House at Highlands Kids Club (11 am – 5 pm) – In portable on Highlands Elementary Grounds, must purchase tickets for timeslot in advance at Kids Club.
Halloween Scary Skate (1:15 pm – 2:45 pm) – Harry Jerome Arena 123 East 23rd St.
Halloween at Lonsdale Quay (Trick or Treat, Movie, Face Painting) (11:30 am – 5 pm)
Lynn Valley Haunted Village (11 am – 4pm for family-friendly live entertainment, crafts, haunted garden and the Lynn Valley Lions Cookshack; 1:30-4pm Trick or Treating with the Lynn Valley Village Merchants, face painting; story time at 2:15pm with the Lynn Valley Library)
Halloween at Lynn Valley Mall (10:30 am – 11:30 am kids fun, sticker crafts & treats; 3 – 5 pm trick or treating in the mall)
Belmont Haunted House (2 pm – 9 pm) 1006 Belmont Ave, North Van
Trick or Treat at Capilano Mall (2 pm – 3 pm)
Trick or Treat in Edgemont Village (1-5 pm) Look for balloons for participating stores handing out candy, and get your family photo taken in a photo booth at the corner of Edgemont & Highland (outside Giftworks)
Halloween Movie: ParaNorman (2 – 3:30 pm ) – Capilano Public Library
Ghost Train in Stanley Park (5:30 – 9:30 pm Mon-Thurs, 11 am – 10 pm Fri-Sun)
