This post is sponsored by Walmart Canada as part of the Walmart.ca Grocery Pickup program. In exchange for this post, I have received perks in the form of products and/or compensation. All opinions on this blog are my own.
I recently had the opportunity to go behind the scenes with Walmart to learn about their new Walmart.ca Grocery Pickup program – a fast, easy way to get fresh groceries! Since Walmart has recently rolled out the online service, getting groceries is now super quick and convenient. You can shop from home or when you are out and about on the Walmart app and have the groceries delivered to your car.
I know what you’re thinking…
How do I know if the person selecting my groceries for me will choose the same quality I would personally pick? I was relieved to discover that the Walmart employees are well-trained to choose the best products, the same way they would choose for themselves and their families.
Walmart Supercentres carry Canadian No.1 grade fruits and vegetables, an amazing selection of organic produce as well as 100% Canadian Angus beef, poultry, salmon and pork and all at available low prices every day. In addition, all fresh groceries come with a 100% satisfaction, money back guarantee. For someone who follows a plant-based diet, high quality produce is very important to me and I appreciate that Walmart stands behind their products.
Aside from the quality of products that are being chosen, I was happy to learn that you can order in advance or on the same day. If you are a meal planner like me, you can create and place your order a couple weeks in advance and change or update accordingly as the date approaches. Or if I discover that I am out of almond milk one morning I can add it to my grocery order and pick it up later that same day. Note: there is a $3 charge associated with this service, so you will want to plan your order accordingly – although I think that is a small price to pay for convenience and my time.
Ok, so I placed my order. Now what?
When you arrive at Walmart to pick up your order you will find special parking near the front of the store (look for the Pickup signs); call the store and let them know that you have arrived and are parked in that location. Shortly after an associate will collect your order and bring it out to your vehicle.
Can I order from my phone?
YES! You can order from your phone, tablet or laptop – whatever is most convenient for you! I found the fastest and easiest way to order was by downloading the Walmart.ca App, it is user-friendly and makes it super easy to search for everything on your list. Once you have selected everything you want/need, you can choose a convenient time to pick it up and voilà, grocery shopping doesn’t have to be a chore.
Stay focused and save money
Not only is Walmart.ca Grocery Pickup convenient, it’s also a great way to save money on your bill by eliminating all the extras that you find perusing the aisles and I can’t wait to try out this new service. Look out for an upcoming post about my Walmart.ca Pickup experience coming soon!
I want you try it out yourself and let me know what you think! Use the SAVETIME promo code before March 31, 2017. To activate this go to Walmart.ca/grocerypromo. You’ll need an account, but that’ll be quick and easy to set up. (Note: promo codes are for online shopping only).
