GoGo Bags: Review and Giveaway
As my boys grow older, I have been getting more and more concerned about the environment and what I am leaving behind for them. I was considering trying out reusable snack and sandwich bags so I could cut down on the amount of plastic we use. So when the opportunity arose for me to try GoGo Bags, I jumped at the chance!
GoGo Bags is a local company based out of Vancouver that carries everything from produce bags to reusable wipes. Anahita, the founder and owner of GoGo Bags, writes on her website that she has a “passion for people and creating things to make their lives better. Gogo Bags are products that not only make our lives easier and our eco footprints smaller, but they are also fun and easy for children to use, something that’s important to me and close to my heart.”
What I loved about using these bags, other than reducing the amount of plastic I have been using, is that they are 100% cotton and easy to just hand wash , hang and re-use (or machine washable if you prefer!), food safe, and even keep apples from browning. They come in various patterns – my boys’ favourite is the skulls pattern. They call them “Pirate Bags”.
We have been using them all of the time inside the house and out. From veggies to fishy crackers, they are perfect to just throw in the diaper bag or cooler bag and head out. No more bulky containers to lug around or the waste of a plastic bag that has to be thrown out at the end of the day. All in all I would have to say that I don’t think I am going to go back to plastic bags and will be looking to reduce my use of plastic containers all together.
