Swimsuit shopping can be very discouraging, even when I was feeling my best physically I struggled to find a swimsuit I was happy with. Add in two kids, and having no time to hit the gym and you’ve got yourself a terrible afternoon. So when my swimsuit had finally kicked the bucket I was pretty confident it would be the same experience. But I couldn’t have been more wrong!

Back in March of 2003, Lynn Carolei started Sublime Swim & Sunwear as she wanted to create an enjoyable swimwear buying experience. Sublime aims to ensure that everyone leaves with their new suit feeling satisfied and empowered. I love that they carry a wide array of different brands and cater to women with larger chest sizes that you won’t always find in your everyday stores. They also have some fun sundresses, tanks, coverups, and more! Everything you would need for a day in the sun. You can also find lots of great suits and sunwear for the men in your life as well.

My Experience

When I arrived I was warmly welcomed by both Lisa the store manager and Lynn, the owner of Sublime. This was my first time seeing their newly renovated space and it was gorgeous- well worth the wait! To get started Lisa asked me what style of swimsuit I typically wore and my dress size. Then she took me through and we picked out some of their best selling brands including Seafolly, La Blanca, and Magic Suit. Lisa was there throughout the whole process, grabbing different sizes, helping do up clasps, and more. She was especially great at helping me decide which suit was the most flattering. Which is usually the hardest part for me if I’m not able to bring a friend along.

Usually when swimsuit shopping I’m lucky if I find one suit that I like, but it was a tough decision. In the end, I chose a beautiful black and white Seafolly two-piece and I absolutely love it! You can certainly tell that they use very high-quality materials to make these swimsuits and they are well worth the price tag. Sublime sells swimsuits and swimwear all year round, so when you are taking off on a tropical holiday in January, you’re still able to find a gorgeous swimsuit. So, if you’re looking for a spectacular swimsuit, but have no idea where to start, I would recommend Sublime in a heartbeat. You can truly tell how much they care about their customers and that they love what they do!
