Local Review: Hide N' Seek Indoor Playground

I have been meaning to write a review on the “new” Hide N’ Seek Indoor Playground for some time now and since the weather has turned frigid there is no time like the present!

hide n seek

First off what I noticed first about Hide N’ Seek was the bright; clean appearance and the amount of space there is inside; of course being brand new I would expect nothing less!

Another cool thing about Hide N’ Seek is the multiple play areas; in addition to the climbing and sliding area there is a section of trampolines (upstairs); a foam ball shooting-with-air-guns area (upstairs); two areas for arcade games (main level); a kitchen/shopping area and a toddler area!

Having three children (age 3, 2 and almost 1), I really appreciate going to a facility that accommodates a variety of ages and abilites under one roof. All three of my children had fun playing in the various areas and did not want to leave when it was time to go!

The first time we went to Hide N’ Seek I was nervous about keeping track of all three kids at once and was worried they would somehow get lost from me and panic would ensue but the second time we visited the “play place” (as my kids call it) that panic eased. There were times through out our visit when my older boys would run off and then come back a little while later to check in but no meltdowns or wounds to worry about. It also eased my stress knowing that they give you and your kids a stamp on the way in  (it is a series of numbers – your family all have the same numbers); they also check those stamps on the way out to make sure your kids leave with you.

The only thing I really don’t like about Hide N’ Seek is the cafe; I appreciate that they have a cafe & tons of seating but the food was just not good at all. I found 90% of the menu to be fried and/or unhealthy foods (in my opinion) and extremely overpriced for what is was. I wasn’t thrilled with the food options and my kids really weren’t either (they hardly ate what I got for them) and the rule is no outdoor food allowed. I really hope the cafe adds some healthier options for kids (and they may have already).

In short, I really liked Hide N’ Seek Indoor Playground and I found it was a nice place to take kids from 0-5! Have you been? What would you add?

I took my children (4 & 5yrs old)a couple weeks ago to Hide n Seek. While they enjoyed playing in the ball pit and on the slides I was having a bit of anxiety when they chose to try out the “Spider Web”. Once I saw the web it clicked in “why” you need to sign a waiver before entering the facility. It is a bunch of elatic cords woven like a basket waeve and the kids fall through and stop on the next level. Well my son got his foot tangled up in these cords and all I could think about was “OMG…that could have been his neck”. I put a stop to them going through that instantly.
Another downside to the venue is that the nerf guns on the second floor are very loud throughout the whole place. It was hard to have a conversation without raising your voice.
I will not be taking my kids back to this venue just because of this “spider web”.
I will continue to make my way across the city to the Treehouse. There is another indoor play park opening in Spring 2015 called UPlay. I hope that one will be safe for all ages.

I agree with Kim about the spider web. My son is 4 and alot of older kids are flying thru it and landing on the little ones or knocking them in the face with there foot. Been there 3x and always see kids crying stuck in it all tangled up. I dont let my son go through it, scares me. Other than that i love the place during week. But cant afford weekend prices. And charging my 1 yr old who hangs on to me the whole time!
Kim i seen Uplay just opened 2 days ago….or am i wrong?

They were both great for free play; but I didn’t really look at the birthday packages. Maybe try comparing the two packages and see what would be more ideal for you.

Not impressed withn the way the staff treat their customers. After all their customers are children, really. Not only that the way the treat the adults is nothing special either. Was there for a friends sons birthday party. I’m sorry, but after how rude they were and late they were with food, I don’t think I would ever host a birthday at this place! Anyone can argue and say “Ya well they’re busy expect delays” but they obviously need to cut down on the amount of partys they’re having all at once if they cannot handle it.

I had my daughters birthday party here two weeks ago, and it was great!
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, not rude at all.
It was pretty crazy in the main play area, our food was a little later than they informed me of at first but 5 minutes wasn’t a big deal to us.
Most importantly the Kids had a blast!
