McDonald’s has partnered with HarperCollins to bring books to millions of children across North America this month.
Ivy fell in love with Pete The Cat books in preschool and has collected almost all of the catchy sing-song stories by Kimberly Dean since. She was pretty happy to discover a new Pete The Cat book in her Happy Meal last week on the first day of #HappyMealBooks.
If you haven’t taken your child for a Happy Meal yet this month, what are you waiting for?
In each Happy Meal through February 15, a mini book and several Valentine’s Cards are included instead of a toy as part of the Happy Meal Books program.
The Happy Meal Books program is comprised of the following four books:
Pete The Cat Valentine’s Day Is Cool by Kimberly Dean
Paddington by Michael Bond
Clark the Shark Takes Heart by Bruce Hale
Happy Valentine’s Day, Mouse! by Laura Numeroff
To help celebrate the program (and Valentine’s Day) Ronald is going on a cross-Canada tour to meet kids in person. He brings story time and crafts to select locations this coming week.
Come join us in Delta, or find a location near you:
To celebrate the program, come meet Ronald McDonald LIVE:
2330 Ottawa St., Port Coquitlam , BC on Feb. 13 with Ronald at 4:30 p.m.
7005-120th St., Delta, BC on Feb. 14 with Ronald at 12 p.m.
590 Martin Street, Milton, ON on Feb. 14 with Ronald at 1 p.m.
The fun with the Happy Meal Books continues at home through the McPlay App. Parents can scan the back of the books to unlock a children’s interactive activity in two easy steps:
Step One: Download the McPlay App https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/mcplay/id634672279?mt=8
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.happymeal.mcplay&hl=en
Step Two: Scan the Happy Meal Book logo to unlock games that you can’t get anywhere else.
Alternatively, visit http://www.happymeal.com/#Create for an activity sheet.
Go have a Happy Meal today. Will I see you at McDonald’s in Delta on the 14th?
