Sweet Peas Cottage is a North Vancouver based Preschool/Daycare dedicated to creating an environment, both indoors and outdoors that encourages, supports and strives to foster the development of the whole child. Through their play-based program lead by educated, dedicated, loving staff, the children are given the opportunity to develop their social, emotional, physical and intellectual selves in a safe and caring child-centered environment. The facility is centrally located at 256 East 1st Street in North Vancouver and offers both an Infant/Toddler Program (0-36 months) and a 3-5 Program (“All Day Preschool”)(36 months to school age).
Sweet Peas Cottage is fortunate to have two buildings on one property. The Infant/Toddler building is a rebuilt 1912 heritage house. This unique setting provides a “home away from home” feel for your child’s first school/daycare experience. The 3-5 program is located on the north of the property and is in a more modern space. This provides your child with the next phase in their child care experience in a more “school like” setting.
Sweet Peas Cottage offers many activities both at the centre and out in the community. Activities such as music classes, french lessons, field trips, early learning with kindergarten readiness, baking, science, art a hot lunch program and more. Sweet Peas Cottage is also active with their families outside of program hours with events such as Christmas by the sea tree lighting at the pier, guest speakers/parent nights, bowling and skate nights, pumpkin carving parties, and more.
Both programs will be open for viewing, touring and meeting the staff during the open house on Sunday, January 19th. Interested families do not need to book in advance and are welcome to pop by any time between 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
If families would like to contact Amy and Sam in advance, they can do so through email at info@sweetpeascottage.ca, or by phone at 604 988 9989.
