(beautiful Montreal)
This year, Ford Canada encouraged you to get out and try something new with their #FordTryMore campaign. They asked you to post pictures and video on social media showing them how and what you were doing to try something new (for a chance to win a trip to Montreal).
My family and I tried something new this Summer too. We jammed our family of five into this very zippy Ford Fiesta and checked out Vancouver Circus School in New Westminster. My husband was very surprised at how quick this little beast of a car really is. (A perfect starter vehicle, in my opinion. My first car was a little hatch-back like this.)
My girls’ favourite part of the Intro to Circus Family class were the silks. It is surprisingly somewhat difficult, but it was super fun to try something that none of us had tried before. Also, I learned that jumping on a trampoline is just as much fun now as it was when I was a child.
To reward their fans for participating in the campaign and for trying something new, Ford sent 40 winners from across Canada to Montreal for a full day of ‘try more’ activities. I was lucky enough to tag along to watch and experience the day’s activities with Ford.
We tried unicycling (ok let’s be honest, I simply don’t have the balance for this!), juggling, paint throwing, and plenty of really fun and unique driving activities.

Hot laps with a professional driver instructing us on every turn and auto-cross, which is a timed pylon track (and you have to do your best not to knock over the pylons) were my favourite drives of the day!
The #FordTryMore day wrapped up with an incredible night of dancing complete with karaoke, plenty of new foods to try, glitter tattoos and to top it all off, an ice cream bar. They sure do know how to throw a party for their fans, this is a company who’s doing social media right. Thank you Ford!
