Around Town: The First Weekend of September

Here we are in September already, the kids have gone back to school and fall is in the air. What more could we ask for with weather like this? We have been spending a lot of time outdoors, checking out local playgrounds and recreation areas. This weekend there are a few things happening around town.

 

Rayanna’s Country Fair: Saturday September 7th

11 am to 3pm at the PERC Building in Stony Plain
Featuring: exotic petting zoo; jumpy tent; African drumming demo & classes; African children’s games; flea market tables; and an African gospel choir.

 

Cpl. Jim Galloway Memorial Off Leash Area dedication and naming ceremony: Saturday September 7th

11am ~ 51 Century Close, Spruce Grove
A dedication ceremony recognizing and honoring Cpl. Jim Galloway for his work with the RCMP.
