Maplewood Farm 40th Anniversary

Maplewood Farm has been around for four decades, giving urban kids a glimpse of what farm life can be like. Come and celebrate the big birthday! Check out the farm and meet the animals, then jump on the bounce castle, play old-fashioned games, and take a pony ride around the farm. Professor Banjo will provide some old-time tunes throughout the day.
Sun, Sept 20 (12:30 – 3:30 pm) Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre, 3663 Park Road, North Vancouver
Visit the Morten Creek salmon hatchery to learn about fish. Help the salmon by planting native plants – you’ll learn why it’s important. For ages 5 – 13; please pre-register. NatureKids membership is required – check the website for more information.
Terry Fox Run {By Donation}
Sun, Sept 20 (9:00 am) Inter River Park at the Lacrosse Box – 1301 Lillooet Rd, North Vancouver
Each year participants from around the world have take part in the Terry Fox Run, in memory of Terry and his courageous Marathon of Hope. Take the family along this Sunday and help celebrate the 35th anniversary of Terry’s courageous run. There are 10km, 5km, 2km and 1km routes available. The courses are suitable for bikes, but not for wheelchairs/strollers or rollerblades.
