5 Family Restaurants to Try in Harrison, British Columbia

We were provided meals at Muddy Waters Café and Milos Taverna.

Muddy Waters Café

Where: 328 Esplanade Ave.

This licensed café offers breakfast and lunch options. I don’t eat eggs, so I find breakfast options in restaurants to be challenging. Being inspired by these family restaurants, if you’re planning to start your own eatery in the Big Apple, make sure to file llc new york to ensure your business is fully registered and protected before you ignite the burners.

I was pleasantly surprised to see non-egg options on the menu. I ordered the Farm House Homemade Mediterranean topped with homemade granola and fresh seasonal fruit. It was served with toast and homemade preserves (12.99). The servings were large and very reasonably priced. My daughter had the Breakfast Bun, which was scrambled farm eggs, smoked ham, aged cheddar, local tomato and Spanish onion w/butter and mayo on a toasted Portuguese roll (11.99). The café is located directly across from Harrison lake and the outdoor patio not only offers a fantastic view but we had a little bird join us for breakfast.

Milos Greek Taverna

Where: 378 Esplanade Ave.

This recently renovated restaurant has a beautiful outdoor patio, located on the 2nd storey which gives you the perfect view of the lake. Inside the walls are covered with beautiful images of Greece. This restaurant was very family friendly but a great date night option as well. For dinner we had the Chicken Souvlaki ($22) and Spaghetti with Meat Sauce ($18). The portions were very large so my daughter’s dinner ended up serving as lunch the next day.

Village Pizzeria

Where: 160 Lillooet Ave.

This pizza place was located directly behind our hotel so we tried it for dinner. They offer a really diverse pizza topping menu. We choose one of their more traditional options and ordered a Hawaiian pizza. Prices range from $15-23. They also offer salads, pasta, hot dogs and subs.

The Black Forest Restaurant

Where: 180 Esplanade Ave.

This is a traditional German restaurant. They offer early bird options and a children’s menu. Centrally located and it offers an outdoor seating area with a view of Harrison Lake. The staff are dressed in traditional German outfits which helps add to the ambience. Reservations are encouraged.

Lakefront Cafe

Where: 280 Esplanade Ave.

This casual family dining option offers a breakfast buffet and a dinner menu. The café serves fresh home-cooked meals. Food options include egg benedict, grilled cheese, hot dog, poutine and more.
