Hair or Bare with Sugar’d Canada

Whether you can’t reach certain areas with your body changing during pregnancy or you just want to ditch the razor I highly recommend trying sugaring. Sugar paste is made from a combination of sugar, water and lemon juice. Unlike wax, sugar paste is warm but never hot and will only adhere to hair and dead skin. The natural ingredients make body sugaring safe for men and women of all ages, skin types and hair textures.

As someone who had previously only been waxed, I decided to try Sugar’d Abbotsford with my daughter on our brows. The process starts similar to waxing in that you are in a room with a bed that you lay on. The technician has sugaring paste prepped so that there is no wait time. Sugaring looks similar to a piece of chewing gum. I was a bit concerned that it would be hard to get brows as clean or precise as a wax strip but was a silly worry. My brows were shaped the same and were completely clean. You wouldn’t have been able to tell whether they were waxed, sugar’d or threaded. The process takes about 10 minutes and is relatively painless. I found that it was less painful than wax because of the lack of hot heat. I also found my skin was less red  and irritated afterwards. We go approximately every 4 weeks.
