First up is our local 4Cats Arts Studio in Edgemont Village! My first experience at 4Cats was our 4 year old daughter’s recent splatter birthday party, and I can’t rave enough. All 10 kids aged 2-5 enjoyed a crazy hour of paint-throwing, rule-free, mess-making bliss….and I even got into the spirit of things and got covered in paint! The kids each got to create small individual canvasses to take home, joined in together to make one huge canvas for the birthday girl, and then dug into birthday cake & snacks brought from home. Parents of our guests were thrilled to drop their kids off for the party – easier for the kids to focus on the fun and parents had a nice afternoon break! The team at 4Cats clearly knows how to encourage kids to be creative and let loose, and then we didn’t have to deal with a mess to clean up at home. Certainly works for me 🙂

We all know life would be easier (and car much cleaner) if we stopped letting our little ones eat or drink in the car, but sometimes it’s just impractical! On the go between school, daycare, work, and activities…our kids always end up snacking in the car at least a few times a week.

A few weeks ago just after I’d cleaned out fishy cracker crumbs from our carseats and tried (unsuccessfully) to get some juice stains off the actual “car” seats, I happened to come across Soggy Tot Car Seat Covers to save my sanity and keep my Toyota Matrix clean! Travel Chalkboard Mats from Mommy Loves Maddy

At a recent family-focused tradeshow I had the pleasure of meeting Ashley, the mom & entrepreneur behind Mommy Loves Maddy, and I fell in love with her travel chalkboard mats! They are practical, fun and great for the environment (no paper waste!). It’s an especially portable kit to keep in the car and bring into restaurants for on-to-go entertainment. My 2 & 4 year olds are hooked!
