Canada Day!

There are so many Canada 150 events taking place on Canada Day and you can find a full list of them here!

Boardwalk Sand on Whyte

Sand on Whyte is back again this year and they invite you to “Be amazed by the work of Canadian sand carving artists as they create sand carving magic that tells our Canada 150 story!”

When: June 30 to July 9
Where:  on the CP Rail land in the northeast corner of Whyte Avenue and Gateway Blvd

Summer Carnival

The Operation Friendship Seniors Society invites you to enjoy food, live music, activities, carnival games, rummage sale, and more!

Callingwood Cars & Coffee

Callingwood Cars and Coffee is back for Summer ’17! Bring your wheels to the Marketplace at Callingwood parking lot and meet up with fellow fans, enjoy refreshments and admire a variety of vehicles.

Build a Bug House

Home Depot invites you to join their hands-on workshop and you and your child can build a bug house. Once the project is complete, your child can personalize their bug house with paint. All kids get to keep their project and receive a FREE certificate of achievement.

Reuse Centre Anniversary Party

Natsu Matsuri Summer Festival

This traditional Japanese Summer Festival offers an experience for people in the greater Edmonton area.There will be children’s games, decorative lanterns, bon odori dancing, festival food, beer, karaoke, demonstrations, and shops, along with much more!

Head to Millwoods Town Centre to celebrate Canada’s 150-years birthday with Shoot-To-Score Mini Hockey Game, Bouncy Castle, and so much more fun.

Greek Community Summer Picnic

The Hellenic-Canadian Community of Edmonton and Region invite you to enjoy a Greek community picnic in the park! There will be a BBQ and activities but families are encouraged to bring extra food and toys as well.

Celebrate 150 at Larch Sanctuary

You are invited to experience a Guided Nature Walk in the Sanctuary to introduce environmental stewardship, and understand how nature has shaped our community. While Edmonton and Area Land Trust gratefully acknowledges that Canada’s Aboriginal peoples were the original stewards of the land, this project celebrates 150 acres of the over 2,000 acres of land that EALT stewards.

Twins & Triplets Plus Festival and Parade

In addition to the Twin & Triplets Plus Parade, there will be an outdoor celebration with world-class performers, various foods, music, glitter tattoos, crafts, photo booth, hair braiding, storytelling, dance workshops and more!!

Parks Day Celebration

Celebrate Canada’s anniversary by learning new ways to explore and create memories at Elk Island National Park. Exploring by canoe, camping under star-filled skies and outdoor living are all traditions that have been part of Canada’s 150 year legacy. Come embrace these timeless traditions by learning how to navigate a canoe or gain outdoor adventure skills at a “Learn to Camp” workshop.

Edmonton’s Child Magazine hosts their annual “It takes a village” picnic in the park; with activities for the whole family, it is full of fun.

Arctic Sea Ice Day

“Did you know that the Edmonton Valley Zoo is an ambassador for Polar Bears International? The Taste of Edmonton has been putting picnics to shame for 33 years!

Interstellar Rodeo

The Interstellar Rodeo is an intimate, taste-making music festival set in Edmonton’s Heritage Amphitheatre, which boasts covered seating, a permanent stage, and excellent acoustics.

CP Canada 150 Train
