FRIDAY, JULY 12th
Fri, July 12th (5pm – 10pm) – Shipyards Night Market
Location: Lonsdale Shipyards, 15 Wallace Mews, North Vancouver
Details: Entering its third year, the Night Market has exploded into a fantastic night out. The combo of a wide variety of foods, face painting, live local music, farmers and handcrafted goods makes for a great evening for all ages. Over 50 tents are filled with local products showcasing BC’s artisans, bakers and farmers.
Fri, July 12th (7pm – 9pm) – Live in Lynn Valley (Steel Toe Boots)
Location: Lynn Valley Village, North Vancouver
Details: Friday evenings 7-9 pm in July & August this summer sees the return of the popular Live in Lynn Valley concert series. This Friday features the popular Steel Toe Boots! Free event.
Fri, July 12th (7pm – 9pm) – Evenings in Edgemont (Headwater)
Location: Edgemont Village, North Vancouver
Details: The 2013 Evenings in Edgemont summer concert series has an amazing lineup of bands lined up for Friday nights throughout July and August. This Friday night, bring your kids, grab your lawn chairs, and spend an evening in the Village with your neighbours and enjoy amazing entertainment from Headwater. Attendance at these evenings has grown to average 1200 to 1500 or more, and little kids seem especially excited to come out for dancing in the streets (our 3 year old and 1 year old get up and dance for hours at this one!). Free event.
Fri, July 12th (7pm – 9pm) – Concerts in the Cove – Three Row Barley
Location: Panorama Park, Deep Cove, North Vancouver
Details: A free, outdoor, family-friendly concert series held in Deep Cove’s scenic Panorama Park Friday evenings from mid July to mid August. Come bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the music with family and friends.
SATURDAY, JULY 13th
Sat, July 13th (2pm – 4pm) – SummerFest Dance Saturdays @ Lonsdale Quay
Location: Lonsdale Quay Market, 123 Carrie Cates Court, North Vancouver
Details: Come out every Saturday starting June 29 – August 31 for free cultural dance lessons and social dancing for all levels with Salsa Studio. Each event begins with an interactive lesson where you will learn to salsa, merenge and bachata. All while enjoying the cool ocean breeze at one of Vancouver’s most beautiful outdoor dance spaces!
Sat, July 13th (3pm – 6pm) – Seattle Seahawks Tailgate Party at Park Royal
Location: Village at Park Royal, West Vancouver
Details: Park Royal is working with the Seattle Seahawks in partnership with the NFL who are hosting their first ever tailgate party in The Village at Park Royal between Old Navy and The Village Taphouse. The event will include a beer garden, good eats, summer jams, cheerleaders, video highlights, interactive displays for kids, and autograph opportunities with a few of the players. This is not to be missed, whether a football fan or not.

Sun, July 14th (1pm – 3pm) – SummerFest Concert Series @ Lonsdale Quay

Sun, July 14th (11am – 5pm) – 7th Annual Party at the Pier
Location: The Shipyards & the Pier at the foot of Lonsdale, North Vancouver
Details: The 7th annual Party at the Pier family festival takes place rain or shine! Party at the Pier hosts numerous marine-themed activities and displays, along with live entertainment on the Shipbuilders’ Square stage from 11am to 5pm. Musical talent includes popular children’s entertainers Bobs & Lolo, the vaudeville show Flying Not Falling, The Impossible Bird, cool Latin jazz & salsa of Rumba Calzada, Lions Gate Sinfonia. Activities include strolling pirates, face painters, balloon creations, visiting mascots, carnival games with prizes for everyone, interpretive tours, a petting zoo and much more!
Sun, July 14th (12noon – 6pm) – Ambleside Day 2014
Location: Ambleside Beach, West Vancouver
Details: Ambleside Day is a community event hosted at Ambleside beach promoting water safety and active lifestyles . This year’s event will include a lifeguard challenge, face painting, relay races between kids and lifeguards, a BBQ, a water safety booth, a boating safety booth, a community program booth and also a few stations where kids can try using the equipment that lifeguards use on a daily basis.
