The weeks are going by just as fast as Summer did and it makes sense when there is so much fun stuff to do all over Vancouver. During the week of September 17th there is going to be non stop fun and we have it all listed below for you so you don’t miss out on any of it!

September 17th

Terry Fox Run Vancouver

Ceperly Park – Stanley Park 10am

Join the annual Vancouver Terry Fox Run this year starting at Ceperly Park in Stanley Park! Run through Vancouver’s most scenic historic park and help a great cause. If you want more info on how you can join or donate make sure to head to their website!

September 19th

Word Vancouver September 19th – 24th, 2017

Various Locations

This is western Canada’s largest celebration for literacy and reading! Enjoy large crowds of book lovers and explore new books while maybe even chatting with the authors. There will be activities and performances too so make sure to keep up to date to see what is going on!


September 21st

Cosmic Nights with H.R. MacMillan Space Centre

H.R. MacMillan Space Centre 1100 Chestnut St, Vancouver 6:30pm-10pm

This event is a great way to spend a fun night with your partner. It is important for you to bond and have fun so why not do that over drinks and some space! They will have special exhibits happening to celebrate the end of the 20 year long Cassini mission to Saturn. Make sure you snag tickets to this event early as they do sell out fast!


September 23rd

Wild Kratt’s Live!

If you have a Wild Kratt’s fan then you will want to jump on this opportunity and get yourselves tickets to their live show! With only one show you know this is an event you and your little Kratt’s fans won’t want to miss.

Free Outdoor Movie – Spiderman Homecoming

If you and your family love to do unique runs and marathons together then this one is perfect to the start of fall. Wearing all the glow you can run your way through Stanley Park. With Glowing stations with glowing facepaints, and other light up trinkets you can glow all night long and have fun with your family!

A Wok Around Chinatown

If you have ever been curious about the history and amazing things that you can find in Chinatown this is the perfect tour for you. Happening daily with charismatic chef Robert Sung. He will take you around Chinatown to show you the amazing produce, teas, snacks and of course historic landmarks starting from Dr. Sun-Yat Sen Classical Gardens.

A Wok Around Granville Island

Intersection of 1505 West 2nd Ave. & Anderson St. 10am-12pm & 3pm-5pm

Another great food focused walking tour taking you around iconic Granville Island. Try sweet treats, fancy lattes and delectable cheeses. This is a great way to spend a couple hours getting to know Granville Island and all that it has to offer. If you have never been to Granville Island with your family this is a great way to get a little taste of everything.

Life in Color by Angela Gooliaf with Beaty Biodiversity Museum

Beaty Biodiversity Museum, UBC, Vancouver Sept 16th – Feb 18th, 2017

If you have little ones that love to color this event is going to be an incredible experience. You can Colour your way through nature on a giant mural that showcases ecosystems from BC and around the world. This interactive colouring wall will be a sight to see and you need to get involved before it’s complete and bring the whole family. A great way to explore art and learn about our local ecosystem!


Unbelievable with Museum of Vancouver

1100 Chestnut St Vancouver, BC V6J 3J9 Ending September 24th, 2017

If you have older curious kids who want to get to know some of the more unbelievable things behind Vancouver’s history. In a world of alternate facts this exhibit is a great way to look anew at many of these iconic objects stories. Open until September 24th this is a must see.

Uninterrupted with City of Vancouver

Vancouver Cambie Street Bridge every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 9pm

This amazing spectacle will only be around till September 23rd so you need to make sure you take your family for this 25 minute FREE show. Displaying the migration of our pacific salmon across the entire Cambie Street Bridge – it is definitely a sight to see.
