This week there is a lot of great stuff to do with your family and friends or even just by yourself if you need it. Free yoga and dancing, ice cream tours, great support groups, and so much more. This city really does offer it all and we hope that you get out there and enjoy your city!

September 26th

Yoga & Dance at Rocky Mountain Flatbread

This free mom and tot event is a great way to have fun and make amazing new friends. Their crowds are always happy, friendly and loving which makes this one of the best accepting environments for new parents and their little ones. If you have never check out Rocky Mountain one of their amazing events is a great way to do it!

September 28th

Gourmet Ice Cream Tour
Railtown Cafe, 397 Railway, Vancouver
If you love ice cream as much as the next guy and you have always wanted to try out the best of what Vancouver has to offer, this tour is just for you. With their last tour being held on Sept 28th you have got to land your chance to nibble the best with your brilliant guided tour. Make sure to register and buy tickets and enjoy a fun night with your whole family!

Mental Health Family Support Group

If you or someone in your family suffers with mental illness then this support group could be just the place for you to find strength. Supporting and understanding one another can be an incredible way to create the bonds you have been hoping for through your family’s struggles. This is a FREE support group but you must register with Pam Plain 604-682-2344 local 64203.

Interior Design Show
Vancouver Convention Centre West
If you are looking to improve your family’s space substantially this year then this is a must see show. Showcasing all the best that interior design has to offer through all our local talent, this is an incredible place to find design inspiration. You can even take the time to talk to the experts about their features to find out if they would be a good fit for your home.

September 29th

BC Culture Days

This event is a Canada wide volunteer movement helping to raise awareness for accessibility, participation and engagement! This free event starts Sept 29th and goes until Oct 1st with lots of activities to get involved in. It is a great way to spend a day with your family learning about how accessible our city is for everyone and how we can aim to do even better throughout our community!

September 30th

Type 1 Diabetes Expo
The Nest at UBC Campus 8am – 4:30pm
This expo is a great learning experience for any family living with type 1 diabetes. With tons of forums, discussions, activities and vendors you are bound to walk away having learnt something. With lunch and snacks included in ticket purchase this can be a great way to help you stay focused on your family’s health and meet other parents in similar situations!

Despicable Me 3 FREE Outdoor Movie
River District 3650 East Kent Avenue 7pm
If you are looking for a fun movie night out with the family the River district will be holding a FREE family movie the night of the 30th at 7pm! Despicable Me 3 is playing so make sure to pack up all your own little minions for a fun night out. Dress warmly and be prepared!

The Cheese and Meat Festival

With the recent boom of amazing artisan shops we wanted to showcase all our local talent in the best way possible. With a festival solely dedicated to their specialties: meat and cheese. You can Colour your way through nature on a giant mural that showcases ecosystems from BC and around the world. This interactive colouring wall will be a sight to see and you need to get involved before it’s complete and bring the whole family. A great way to explore art and learn about our local ecosystem!
