Doesn’t my snowman cookie jar just look handsome? He is the best for this time of year, and we always get a lot of use out of him!

This morning I decided to whip up a batch of soft ginger cookies, and I thought.. Hey! I should share this delicious recipe with you!

Here’s what you need:

2 1/4 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Ground Ginger
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ground Cloves
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 Cups Soft Margarine
1 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1/4 Cup Fancy Molasses

3 tbsp Sugar off to the side!

How to make them:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a small bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Set aside for later.

In a big bowl, mix together margarine and sugar until light and smooth.

Beat in an egg, and then get rid of your mixer and switch to a spoon to stir in molasses.

Stir the dry ingredients (small bowl), gradually into the mixture (big bowl).

Now take off your rings and use your hand to make the dough into balls, about half an inch all around.

Roll the ball into the sugar that you set aside, and place on a cookie sheet. Press down lightly with fork.

Bake for 8 -10 minutes.

Let them cool for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack or paper towel.

ENJOY YOUR COOKIES!!!
