This week we are talking to Alexis Luzande, owner and creator at Pooch YEG. Fur babies are our babies too and Pooch YEG wants to give them style with their adorable, handmade and personalized bandanas to make your pooch (or cat) the talk of the town.
How did you get the idea for your business?
I went to a couple pet stores before we had Christmas photos with Santa and I was just so under whelmed with the selection and styles they had in store. So all of a sudden a light bulb moment happened and I thought to myself “why don’t I just make bandanas that will be cute, fun, and trendy?” I grew up loving to sew so I knew it would be a perfect fit.
How did you come up with the name for your business?
I wanted something simple and not overly wordy. But of course me being me, it had to be catchy and cute too. It took me awhile to brainstorms some names but once I thought of Pooch (turned Pooch YEG) it just fit perfectly for the way I wanted to theme and execute my brand/company
What products do you offer?
We emphasize our company around making cute and trendy dog bandanas. Each Bandana comes with your pooches custom name so it’s special to the fur baby you order it for. We currently sell ones that slip through the collar. In our future launches we plan on selling the tie up style as well! Don’t be fooled by our name though, our bandana sizes (specifically xs-s) fit cats as well!

I thinking we can all say our fur babies are our real babies too. And all we want to do is spoil them with love and cute things. We all deserve a little fun in life whether that’s buying a funky dress for your next outing or a stylish Bandana for your pooch
